Transparent Veterinary Care

Kenmore Veterinary Hospital

We’re committed to providing transparency around veterinary care so you can feel confident in the decisions you make for your pet. The information below outlines commonly provided services and typical pricing ranges at our hospital.

Because every pet’s needs are different, final costs may vary based on factors such as age, size, medical condition, and recommended diagnostics or treatments.

Many pet owners choose to enroll in pet insurance to help offset unexpected medical expenses. Most plans require payment at the time of service, with reimbursement provided after submitting a claim. To explore insurance providers, visit Pawlicy Advisor, and for additional ways to prepare for care costs, please review our Payment Options page.

Learn more about pet Dental Care here.

  • Getting Started

Routine dental care plays an important role in preventing gingivitis and periodontal disease. During your pet’s annual physical exam, our veterinary team performs an awake oral assessment and provides guidance on dental care timing.

    Dental cleaning recommendations typically:
    • Are advised every 1–2 years
    • Begin around 3–5 years of age, depending on your pet’s needs

    Additional information:
    • Pre-anesthetic bloodwork is required for all procedures involving anesthesia
    • Please see Diagnostic Care for associated bloodwork costs
    • A pre-surgical consultation is required to provide an accurate dental estimate
    • This visit allows our team to evaluate oral health and discuss a personalized treatment plan
    • A general guide to common dental service costs is provided below for transparency
  • Anesthetized Dental Cleaning

    $890
At Kenmore Veterinary Hospital, every dental procedure includes a Complete Oral Health Assessment and Treatment (COHAT) to ensure thorough, safe care.

    This comprehensive approach includes:
    • An anesthetized oral exam performed by a veterinarian to assess gum health, tooth stability, and oral tissues
    • Full-mouth dental radiographs (required for all dental procedures)
    • Professional dental scaling and polishing
    • General anesthesia with continuous monitoring by a licensed technician and IV fluid support
    • A daytime hospital stay for recovery and observation
  • Oral Surgery/Extractions

    $600-$1,600
To support patient safety and minimize anesthesia time, all patients are limited to one hour of extraction work with dental cleaning.

    • Extraction needs and costs vary based on your pet’s size and the complexity of the tooth removal
    • Some extractions require advanced techniques, such as gingival flaps or surgical approaches, to promote proper healing
    • Final extraction recommendations and pricing are discussed on the day of the procedure once anesthetized oral exam and dental radiograph findings are available
    • Any required take-home pain medications or antibiotics related to extractions are included in the overall cost

Please call to schedule a consultation at (425) 485-6575 .
